Manga, a Language for Imagining Worlds.

Founder Alvin once dreamed of becoming a manga artist. As a child, manga was never simply something to read. It was a way of imagining the world. Characters, panels, adventures — every page seemed to tell him that stories could be created by hand, and that the world could be redrawn through one's own perspective.

Later, he studied design at university, learning to tell stories through images, to build emotion through composition, and to place meaning into details. But when life truly began to unfold, the path he walked was not that of a manga artist. He became an entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurship led him into another kind of story — one set in reality. Brands, the drinks industry, markets, teams, international expansion — every step was no longer a panel on paper, but a chapter that demanded real risk, real decisions, and real responsibility.

Years later, when Courser of Woodland began creating its own Japanese whisky releases, Alvin finally found a way to bring his childhood love for manga back into his work.
